"AVIN" Wind Mills

Brief Introduction

Windmills are one of the oldest forms of renewable energy sources. Windmills drive turbines to generate electricity, run pumps and were used since ancient times as grinding mills.

Avin offers wind mills for water pumping and for small and medium power output applications.

Wind Pumps

Water Pumping windmillThis small windmill can pump water from a depth of 50 metres from rivers, lakes or wells, and its daily output is upto 20000 litres, depending on wind conditions. This is sufficient to irrigate about 5 acres of farmland per day. It operates under varying wind conditions. There also is a facility to lock the windmill if it is not in use, to prevent unnecessary withdrawal of water from the source.
"AVIN" 500 Windpump is designed by engineers to be robust, easy to use and maintain and perform at high efficiency for a long time. We offer turnkey solutions from site selection, supply of the windpump and erection and commissioning at site. Training is provided for maintenance and emergency repairs. Insurance where required is arranged to cover all possible risks.
"AVIN" 500 Windpump without the optional power generation facility will cost about Rs. 112800. The unit to generate electricity (about 500VA) will cost an additional Rs. 56000. Subsidy is applicable where sanctioned and approved by the Government according to norms.

Wind Turbines for Small and Medium Power Applications

"AVIN" offers wind turbines which are small and compact and can be mounted on the roof/terrace of buildings or high rises to generate power for charging batteries or to directly run appliances.

Wind turbines are available in 100 to 400W  sizes for battery charging  and from 1 KW to 3 KW for generating direct mains power to run appliances.

400W/600 Wind Turbine

400W wind turbineThis 400-600W wind turbine incorporates features found on larger Megawatt sized wind turbines, with microprocessor controls. The controller allows for peak-power tracking of the wind by optimizing the alternator's output on all points of the cubic curve and efficiently delivers energy to the battery. The turbines smart controller allows it to actually control blade rotation speed thus eliminating the buzzing noise commonly found with most small wind turbines.

Avin Wind Turbine's  circuit monitors the wind speed and electronically slows the blades as it reaches its rated output, preventing it from going into flutter. This results in a much quieter wind turbine. This turbine can charge battery banks from 25 Ah and higher capacities.

1KW-3KW Wind Turbines

The AVIN 1000  is designed to operate in a site with low to medium wind speeds (3.6m/s). With a rated output of 1000 watts at 31mph wind speed, the WHI-200 can make a significant contribution to your alternative energy system. Even with only 5.4m/s average wind speed, The Whisper 200 provides about 158+ kWh per month (5.3 kWh per day).1 KW wind turbine

With a cast aluminum frame and fiber reinforced blades, the AVIN1000 can withstand high winds, and the patented side-furling Angle Governor allows it to maintain high power output even in extreme wind speeds. In addition to it's patented smooth-acting side furling design (now with a more durable bronze pivot bushing), the "AVIN1000" has a number of new features that make it ideal. The controller ensures quiet and safe operation. Anemometer measures wind speeds and a performance monitor gives data on the current, battery voltage, KWH production, wind speeds, etc.

Installation of this wind turbine is easy and can be carried out even by non-skilled personnel.

Wind turbines can work as stand alone power generators when used singly or in banks. Wind turbines can also complement existing solar photovoltaic based systems
